I got voodoo, I got hoodoo, I've got things I've never tried. . .

". . . And I've got friends on the other side. . . "

Today has been one weird feeling after another. At some point last night I woke up, trying to flick whatever was attacking my face away, only to realize that my boi cat was snuggled on my pillow. I quickly apologized for freaking out and buried my face in his belly. He responded by purring and nuzzling on my ear. It didn't take me long to fall asleep again, so next thing I knew it was morning and I found myself in the middle of the bed, wrapped around my body pillow, with my little moose-lette resting on my hip. Once I started petting her, she snuggled in closer and began kneading on the pillow. One thing that she does rather often is lick my fingers when I pet her. "Oh, moussier, you are delicious" she seemed to say in her faux French accent. When I finally got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom she and my 'bug' followed me in, which they always do. Yesterday morning I received the greatest 'oh mommy I am so happy you are home and I love you and please never leave again and I missed you and you are the best mommy and I love you' snuggling in my life. Her sister, my fluffy baby, continued to regard me like she always does, but she had a certain 'I'm glad my mom is home' expression on her fluffy little face.

I'm not kidding when I describe myself as a crazy cat lady. Honestly, I'm a professional crazy cat lady, third generation, and I take great pride in that. Even though I am a messy person, I go out of my way to make sure my house doesn't smell like four (technically five with my roommate's cat, but she stays in his room) cats live there. It really isn't that hard either. . .

There have been several different occasions where (usually acquaintances of my editor's) people have compliments me of the excellent condition of my apartment is in besides the fact that so many animals live there, and how well behaved my cats are. Even the most skittish and shy cat, Darwin, is visible and  open to meeting our guests when we have company. Abbey, however is always the center of attention when we have company over, making sure that everyone there knows her and has given her an appropriate 'sacrifice.'

Every now and then I let my cats roam outside (with supervision) and my neighbors always compliment the cats (oh, what a beautiful cat. . . Aw, how friendly. . . Etc. . .) Letting the cats outside really improves their attitude and makes them generally more sociable. I would never have just outside cats, and I would rather not keep them as solely indoor cats. It's good to have a happy medium. And it is fun to watch them chase squirrels.

Alright. Enough about the cats for today.

Since I'm finally back to work, I'm trying to figure out when I can fit in writing a good post. Most of the time I work two shifts a day, and sometimes I work straight through the day (if they let me). I had planned on writing today's post before work, but I kind of got distracted by the My Little Pony movie. (Yes, I am a grown adult. And yes, I watch My Little Pony. Deal with it. To the show's credit, for a little girl's cartoon, it's a pretty good show with a huge adolescent male fan base). So I decided to take a break and write this out. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with working and writing, because I really don't want to make posts at 11 o'clock at night.

These next couple of weeks are going to be long and extremely bland. Next week, I'll be celebrating my two year anniversary working at this restaurant. Woo.

It was odd, when I arrived at work today, I was swarmed with this odd nostalgic feeling. I don't know if it was a certain scent that triggered it or whatever, but ever since then I've been in this euphoric cloud of feelings. It makes me question whether of not i am actually here or if it is another dream. I really don't know for sure. (Except I do, but for poetics sake, just go with it).

Aight. I should get back to work. It's going to be a long night, I just hope it rains soon.

Also, it occurred to me last night that my editor's new boss let me borrow Bioshock Infinite for my birthday. . . Do you know what that means?

My days just got. . .
*puts on sunglasses*
INFINITEly better. . .

YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
