I forgot what time I was supposed to be at work, but I was lucky enough that one of my managers called me about my evening shift. I asked her what time I was needed this morning and she told me to be in before 11. I was, however, the girl I thought I worked for was there. After a bit of confusion, they had me wait around for about 30 minutes before they decided to let me work anyway. The hope I had of not working and going home to play video games quickly vanished. At one point during the shift, an old coworker and a friend of my sisters who was supposed to be out of country sowed up! I was delighted to see her again. After another hour of wandering around the restaurant trying to look like I was working, I was let on my break, which is where I am now.
I still have another hour to waste so I want to use it wisely, and since I'm not going to go and continue to save the galaxy, I'm going to write. Luckily, there is a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant across the streets with wifi! I come here all the time, so they are used to seeing me.
Ok, back to being mopey.
It's been looking like it was going to rain all morning, and I think it only sprinkled a little. I was really hoping for another big rainstorm. It's still cloudy, but the sun is shining trough, making it hot. I can't decide which I dislike more, the hot or cold.
When it rains, I can't help but whistle or hum this little tune.
I swear, this game cures depression. Animal crossing is a game set in real time, where you. . . Work, have neighbors and do. . . . things. . . You start off with barely any money to your name and you move to a new town where the first thing you do is get massively in debt (just like real life!). You then do odd jobs here and there to pay it off. The most fun thing to do is fish. So, since the game is set it real time, each day has it own weather. When it rains, the song above plays. It's so soft and gentle, and that in combination with fishing on a lazy day is the most relaxing thing I can imagine.
So as I sit here, wishing for it to rain, I keep humming this in my head like its some kind of magical chant that will cause the skies to pour down. (It's certainly not the song of storms, that's for sure http://youtu.be/HcOjpG27LEQ).
Well, I've run out of ideas for today. I'm going to try and spend a lot of time at the movies the next few days. There are a lot of new ones I want to see so. . . Yeah.
Bye.
