Rain, raspberries, and racing.

It's been white a day. I had planned on dragging my editor (and hopefully my sister) down to the theaters to see some of the new movies that are out. Unfortunately I woke up too late to go to the movies, so I settled for spending the day playing video games. I remembered that my sister wanted to exercise with me that morning, so I got in touch with her and we did.

All around us, the skies were beautifully cloudy and stormy. It looked like I was finally getting all the rain I had wished for. We ran a few laps, did some crunches and push-ups, and watched as her little dog whined because 10ft is too far away to be from her mommy. By the time we were on our last round, it was already starting to thunder. Her poor little dog was so scared, when we came back over to her she immediately snuggled into my sister's arms.

We were on our way back home when it started pouring rain. After the workout we just did, it felt incredible. On our way back, we found some wild raspberries growing along a path, and of course, we picked a few to nom on. Best thing ever.

Once we were home, we had planned on continuing our workout, but she needed lunch first. She was going to grab something from her house, but she just kept rummaging through my kitchen. We eventually settled on this veggie-pasta with veggies and chicken in a lemon creme sauce. Also, best thing ever. We spent a good hour and a half cooking this fabulous mean (which totally negated our exercise earlier) and ate it as soon as it was ready.

We intended to jump on the Wii we have (technically its my roommate's), but after she crated a character, the Wii stopped working. Ok, so it's not reading disks anymore, gotta fix that. Instead, I cracked out the N64 I have and we played MarioKart until during our second round of racing, we made the entire game crash. . . Oops.

Since she has other work to do today, we said our goodbyes there and now I am typing this. I feel that there are a lot of better ways I could have written all of this, but you'd be surprised how fast I can go through a bottle of wine. Whatever, it's my day off, and I'm going to enjoy it.

Well, I best get back to saving the galaxy before my craving for cookie dough takes control of me.

See you tomorrow!
Lazy cat day.
